Wool Blog

A space where we tell our story- from the history of the company to the wool we use, how we source it, blend it and dye it, new products, and occasional profiles of artisans who use our materials.

Perry Pearce, a Denver-based artisan, feels fortunate to have discovered the materials produced by Restoration Yarns for his Navajo-inspired needlepoint projects. Now retired, his goal is to produce seven of these Navajo needlepoints as a legacy for each of his seven grandchildren to remember him by.

My MO about the time I met Bob was to pick the Midwest summer flea markets for old Navajo textiles and jewelry, drive to Santa Fe stopping at rag graders and pawn shops along the way with our arrival timed for the week before Indian Market.  It usually involved an overnight camp out at Palo Duro State Park in the Texas panhandle.
